Art became my safe place, my getaway,
my home.

from within us that we are taught to change and hide. It is a world I am always intrigued by.

About My Art
I was always insecure as a child, unsure of my purpose and voice. Throughout my teens I let my thoughts take over and was diagnosed with clinical depression and an eating disorder. It took me many years to understand that we are all unique creatures on this planet. Instead of fighting with this reality, I decided to let it guide me. I found myself looking at a stretched canvas , wanting more. I wanted it to have texture , character , meaning. I wanted it to be different. I began experimenting until I found what I was looking for. Taking the cut-up pieces and creating it into a masterpiece. Emphasizing the beauty within our pieces. For me, beauty is captured through the uniqueness of our pieces. My art is a mosaic of our pieces.
